Windows Live ID as broken app-v

Hi All,

We have just rolled out the Microsoft widnows Live ID utility (version 15.4.3538.0513) that comes with CRM online outlook plugin and it is conflicting badly with App-V version 4.6.

My app-v client has a publishing server using port 554, Application Virtualisation Server and it is not longer to refresh and no applications will launch.

The error in the log file is:

Failure on Desktop Configuration Server request to URL {rtsp://softgrid-sc:554/} with header {Host: softgrid-sc
Content-Type: text/xml
AppV-Op: Refresh

We do still run a sgmc of version 4.2 but so far this hasn't caused us any issues so I have discounted this as the cause.

By simply removing the windows live id utility, app-v works fine again but I do need it so any help greatly appreciated.

Hi,

you could try:

In the Registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
open the MULTI_STRING value “Security Packages”
remove ONLY "LiveSS".
Reboot the Client
